Quavo’s Assistant Sues Venue Over Shooting That Killed Takeoff

The assistant of rapper Quavo, who was wounded in a shooting that killed his fellow Migos band member Takeoff, is suing the venue where the shooting took place.

The lawsuit, filed in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, names the venue, The Battery Atlanta, as well as several security companies and individuals. The lawsuit alleges that the defendants were negligent in their security and that they failed to provide a safe environment for concertgoers.

The shooting took place on February 25, 2023, at a concert by the Migos at The Battery Atlanta. Takeoff was shot and killed, and Quavo’s assistant, who has not been named, was wounded.

The lawsuit alleges that the defendants knew or should have known that the venue was a dangerous place and that they failed to take adequate steps to protect concertgoers. The lawsuit also alleges that the defendants failed to provide adequate medical care to the victims of the shooting.

The lawsuit seeks damages for pain and suffering, medical expenses, and lost wages.

The defendants have not yet filed a response to the lawsuit.

The shooting at The Battery Atlanta was a tragedy that took the life of a young man and injured another. The lawsuit filed by Quavo’s assistant is a reminder that venues have a responsibility to provide a safe environment for concertgoers. It is also a reminder that security companies and individuals have a responsibility to take steps to prevent violence.
